Welcome to Dancing Butterfly Naturals, LLC

Dancing Butterfly Naturals is a Taos Pueblo/Yaqui woman owned and operated LLC business. We make small batch skincare and haircare products and medicines. Our beautiful products are made using the locally sourced ingredients from the Taos Pueblo Mountains in Northern New Mexico, and from trusted Indigenous suppliers (where available) throughout the U.S. & the world that have the highest consideration for Mother Earth. It is a family effort.

The business name comes from owner, Addelina Lucero's Tiwa name Tsel’Moya Dahmah’ee, and the logo was created by Taos Pueblo Artist Jocelyn Martinez.

 The story of Dancing Butterfly Naturals goes back to the summer of 2012 where owner, Addelina Lucero, began utilizing her Indigenous plant knowledge and connection along with her formal herbal and basic product making knowledge into making personal care items and medicines for her family and friends.  Addelina has been an Indigenous skincare and haircare formulator now for 10 years. She is also a mother of 3 a grandmother of 1, she is a traditional farmer and seed saver, an Indigenous community food systems educator, an indigenous food sovereignty activist and practitioner. 

Addelina utilizes her planting, foraging and processing of traditional Taos Pueblo foods and medicines of her ancestors into making plant and seed based oils and all Dancing Butterfly Naturals products is what truly makes  Dancing Butterfly Naturals special and sets their products apart from other natural based skincare and haircare companies. 

 Dancing Butterfly Naturals is more than just a for profit Indigenous skincare and haircare brand, it is a learning space where Native youth become apprentices and learn how to become reciprocal with our environment; our plant and animal relatives, our air and water. They learn how to heal and sustain themselves using what our ancestors before us had used.  

Dancing Butterfly Naturals is all about continuing to live off  our ancestral lands and using the knowledge that was given to us by our ancestors. Today we are farmers, we are foragers, we are in charge of our own heath and sustainable futures, we are protectors of our water and Mother Earth, and we are carriers of traditional and indigenous knowledge and seeds. 

 We share some of this knowledge with you through our Indigenous pure, natural, and organic products that we make with love, good energy and prayers.
